"It is with a heavy heart that I announce that after a 7-year battle, Sheldon's body was no longer able to continue fighting. He passed away peacefully last night. I know Sheldon touched so many lives and I cannot put into words how much we will miss him. Everyone We will mourn his passing, but we can breathe a sigh of relief that his suffering is over," wrote Gretchyn Melde, Menery's wife.
