Welcome, dear Leviathan players, to our third announcement of the year. Since the previous announcement, our database has started to grow thanks to the increased number of reports we receive from you. We thank you very much for that. They have shown us that the Leviathan meta is still capable of changing and that Commander, who was at the top, can fall from it, and someone who has been watching everything from the bottom can climb up in his place. When it comes to archetypes, it looks a bit different. The control archetype has an advantage, but not complete dominance of the meta. We are working on it to more evenly balance the power between all archetypes.
As everyone already knows, Magic has been getting more and more expensive for some time now due to the introduction of Universes Beyond and the increasing value of old cards. After internal discussions, we came to the conclusion that we want our format to be more accessible to more players regardless of financial resources. We have decided to release all gold frame cards from our banlist and make them legal in Leviathan tournaments. This decision was also influenced by other formats like PreModern and Canlander (Canadian Highlander), which legalized this type of card long ago. We believe that this change will at least slightly allow players to have more access to cards.
