Urza is one of the strongest commanders that has emerged in recent times, and yes, he needs to get our attention. But you also know that Leviathan is not the kind of format that likes to ban commanders easily. Being able to play with your favorite oppressive commander while still having a balanced and competitive environment is a strong point of our format. So Urza is safe for now, but not entirely unharmed. Winter Orb is a card that can be easily tutored, easily protected with blue and has an incredible synergy with Deck, applying its stax effect only to the opponent. From now on, Winter Orb is banned.
Speaking of strong commander, it would be nice to add one more to our list, in case we remove from our banlist. We tested Edric, Spymaster of Trest and found that it doesn't scare that much and it's time to get out of the shadows. We hope to provide new interactions and give players good tools to bring out creativity.
